I took tons of photos, so I'm spreading them out between a few posts...
On Friday, I drove up to Portland to see my lovely cousins, Rachel + Nicole.
Somehow this is the only shot I got of them together
(please don't kill me, Cousins! I think it's cute!)
We went to the Art Walk, stopping in galleries and being all sophisticated (but you already knew that from the photo above).
Until we were all "Dudes. Thrift stores."
We found some amazing treasures.
Should I do a 'thrift store finds' post? Hmm?
We went out for dinner + drinks...then got ice cream...and finished the day by falling asleep on the couch watching a movie. It was brilliant.
I didn't take any photos at dinner, since whipping out my bulky camera in a bar (to mostly take pictures of my food) isn't something I'm entirely comfortable with, yet. Also-- did you know bar food is pretty much my favorite thing? Bars are kind of one of my favorite things.
Before you go scheduling an intervention, it's not because of the alcohol. I can get that at home, really, haha.
I love people watching and chatting with the wait staff and feeling comfortable enough to laugh my head off. I love jeans. I love rickety tables. I love french fries and grilled cheese + tomato. I love personable bartenders. I love the noise and the different accents mixing across the room.
That's not to say I don't love me some dressy, fancy shmancy restaurants, too.
Just saying.

I love the bit about bars, I'd rather eat at a pub than any other place (most of the time).
