Last weekend, Lee, his parents, and I took a trip to Bar Harbor (one of my favorite places ever) for a nice weekend mini vacation.
Ummmmm. This inn. You need to go. You'll want to stay forever! I'll do a post later with more photos of the inside.
It is too lovely for words. I almost booked my wedding right then and there (What do you mean I have to be engaged? Frick.)
We went to a local hotel for lunch + I was so glad Lee's parents encouraged me to take photos. Isn't it awkward being a blogger sometimes?! They made me feel so comfortable about being the girl with a camera instead of a face.
Get out right now. SO beautiful. And we were the only ones there! Hooray!
I even loved the goddamn salt & pepper shakers.
Are you mcfrickin' kidding me. The cutest damn tea ever to inhabit the earth.
Lyn and Carmela's lemon cheesecake.
Lee and I split this blueberry pie & vanilla gelato. (we won the dessert choosing game, I think.)
And after that pasta, pie and gelato, what better thing to do than HIKE?
Ah.ha...ha....
It was fine! It's funny what a 15 minute lie down and good people will do to a girl's motivation.
One of my favorite couples.
Carmela collects heart rocks. I love that about her.
to be continued...

We did! We did! Such a great time. Haha, you're going to make Lee nervous with that fiance talk ;) (...fine with me)
Ok, Alivia...these pictures...are breathtaking. Absolutely gorgeous, insane, and inspiring. I think these might be my most favorite photos you've ever taken. So beautiful!
These photos are so calm and peaceful and gorgeous. I love them all. And I can't wait to see more. Also, that blueberry pie and vanilla gelato look so, so, so delicious.
Bar Harbor Is definitely one of my favorite places on earth. The pink cliffs of Acadia, The little gnarled, hunched trees on top of the mountains, Watching cormorants and Eider ducks dive in the ocean, and all the little hidden places you only find if your looking.
On park loop there's a hidden beach in a cove that is made of the roundest, smoothest rocks I've ever seen all gorgeous shades of blue.
And behind the actual town of Bar harbor, there's a little cave with sea anemones that you can only go in at low tide.
It's a ten hour drive from where I live in New york, But it's soooo worth it.
Thank you, Allison! That means a lot to me :) Em-- I think of you whenever we order dessert. It's a beautiful little reminder+connection my brain has made of you.
Hannah-- I missed BH so when I lived in New York for a summer! You should try to make a trip soon :)
I'm pretty sure words couldn't do very much justice for this vacation. Unless you enjoy writing a million words. So glad you had a wonderful time!
